Can we use our own caterers?
No, please choose from our list of appointed caterers.
Can we supply or prepare our own evening food?
No, our appointed caterers supply and prepare the evening food and stay to the end of the event.
What time does the bar close and music finish and when do we need to leave the venue?
The bar and music finishes at 11:30pm giving everyone time for goodbyes before departing by midnight.
Can we leave cars overnight?
Yes, cars can be left in the car park overnight at the owners risk. Collection is strictly between 9am and 11am the following morning.
Is there accommodation nearby?
Yes, there are many places for you and your guests to stay nearby. Please visit our accommodation page for more information.
Can we get married at Moreves Barn?
Yes, we are fully licensed for Civil Ceremonies or you may wish to have a humanist ceremony.
Can we use candles in the barn?
Yes, we allow a maximum of 4 candles per table in a container higher than the flame. We cannot allow real candles upstairs, outside or in areas that are unsupervised.
Are we allowed confetti?
Only real flower petals are allowed. Fresh or dry rose petals are best. We do not allow any other biodegradable or other type of confetti to be thrown.
Can we bring our own wine and do you charge corkage?
You may supply your own wine for the meal and sparkling for welcome drinks and toasting – We do not charge corkage for this.
Do you charge extra for tables & chairs?
No, our lovely wedding chairs and tables are included.
Can we have a live band?
Yes, live music sounds wonderful in the barn.
Do we need a microphone for speeches and do you supply one?
No, there is no need for a microphone, the acoustics in the barn are superb and your guests should hear the speeches clearly.
Can we visit again before the wedding?
Yes, you are welcome to book a time to visit us again to refresh your memory or show your parents.
Can we chose our own photographer and florist?
Yes, though we do have a fantastic list on our recommended suppliers page who we trust and know the barn well.
Who makes the announcements?
You decide who you would like to make announcements. The best man is usually a good choice for the job.
Do we need to clear up afterwards?
No, leave all the clearing to us. Enjoy the evening to the very end.
What time do we need to collect things left over night?
Collect any items left overnight the morning after between 9:00am and 11:00am.
Do you allow hog roasts and BBQ’s?
Yes, contact our appointed caterers to discuss your needs, there are some fabulous and exciting ideas for hog roasts & BBQ’s.
Can we have fireworks or Chinese lanterns?
No, we do not allow fireworks or Chinese lanterns for environmental and health & safety reasons.
Can we hire a coach or bus to bring larger groups to the venue?
Yes, we have ample space for buses, and this is a wonderful way to travel to and from the venue.
Is there ample space for parking?
Yes, we have a very large hard standing car park to the rear of the barn which has plenty of spaces for parking.
Are we allowed to hang bunting and decorations in the barn and outside?
Yes, and we will be happy to give you measurements for indoor and outdoor areas for bunting and swags etc.
Can we have a pre wedding photo shoot at Moreves Barn?
No, we do not allow pre wedding shoots to be taken here.
How many people do you allow at the venue?
We can seat up to 150 and this is the maximum we allow for any event.
Do you have Wi Fi and are we allowed to connect to it?
Yes, please ask one of our members of staff and we will give you the password.
Do you supply an easel for our table plan and cake stand for us to use?
Yes, we have a beautiful victorian artist’s easel and a rustic oak cake stand which you are welcome to use.
Are we allowed to bring dogs or other animals?
No, we do not allow any animals to the venue apart from guide-dogs.
Do you allow children at the venue?
Yes we allow 10 children between the ages of 1 to 12 as the venue is not suitable for more.
Are registrar fees included with the barn hire fees and ceremony fees?
No, registrar fees are separate from fees paid to Moreves Barn.
Do you have disabled access and facilities?
Yes, we do.
Can we have a photo booth?
Yes, you can either create your own DIY photo booth or hire one.
Do you supply a sound system for the ceremony music?
No, you will need a dock station or similar for this.
Can we play background music on the system you have in the main hall?
Yes, you are welcome to use the music system to play cd’s or plug in an audio device.
Can you recommend taxi companies?
Yes, we can supply a list of local taxi companies for you.
Where do larger groups usually stay?
Please visit our accommodation page for information on cottages and hotels nearby.
Do we need to get wedding insurance?
We very highly recommend that you take out wedding insurance to cover all eventualities concerning your wedding.
Can we get married in a nearby church?
